How I Met My Wife

I met Uche on what seemed like an ordinary night at a college party like any other. But that night changed everything. I didn’t know it then, but I was meeting the woman who would change my life forever.
As we got to know each other, what started with study sessions and late-night talks turned into something deeper. We were each other’s moral support through the chaos of school, pushing each other to succeed, holding each other up when things got hard. Somewhere between shared notes and shared dreams, I fell for her.
I fell for her mind, sharp and quick. I fell for her independence, strong, grounded, never afraid to be herself. Being around her just made everything feel easy. We didn’t have to force it.

Loving her didn’t feel like a leap. It felt like coming home. She’s been my peace, my partner, and the calm in the middle of it all ever since. From college sweethearts to forever - I wouldn’t change a thing.

How I Met My Husband

Imagine me, swearing off relationships—loudly—and promising my friends it would be just us girls, going through college together. Meanwhile, God was in the background laughing. One night, out with those same friends—celebrating singlehood and sisterhood—God, with His perfect sense of humor, cued Qudus.

Cool. Calm. Collected. Mysterious. Focused. Driven. Silent strength wrapped in peace and purpose.

He didn’t chase.  He didn’t perform.  He just showed up. Consistently.  Intentionally.
And somewhere between our deep talks, first adventures, and late-night laughs… love happened.

He made me want more. Do more. Be more.
He didn’t try to dim me—he helped me shine smarter. I wanted to rise to the level of the man I was getting to know.

His drive made me more driven. His focus made me more focused. His peace grounded my passion—
and together, we just worked. So no, this wasn’t the plan.
But ten years later, Qudus is still the best thing that ever happened to me.

Our Nigerian Culture

Our union celebrates not just our love, but the strength of two cultures — Yoruba and Igbo. Both carry history, resilience, and beauty. Together, they tell the story of who we are.
